The 2011 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2011) will take place from May 9 to 13, 2011 at the Shanghai International Conference Center and the Shangri-La Hotel Shanghai Pudong in Shanghai, China. The theme of the conference is “Better Robots, Better Life”, an expectation that the ever growing technology in robotics and automation will help build a better human society. The conference will provide a unique opportunity for the academic and industrial community to address new challenges, share solutions, and discuss research directions for the future. Technical topics of the conference include all areas of robotics and automation.
CONTRIBUTED PAPERS and POSTERS:
Prospective authors should submit their papers electronically in PDF format. Six pages in the standard ICRA format are allowed for each paper, including figures. A maximum of two additional pages is permitted. Detailed instructions for paper submission will be available soon on the conference website.
INVITED/INDUSTRIAL SESSIONS:
Invited/industrial sessions on new topics or innovative applications will be considered, consisting of four to six related papers submitted through a special review process. Prospective organizers should include a brief statement of purpose for the sessions as well as the abstracts of the papers to be included.
VIDEOS:
Videos of 1.5 to 3 minutes illustrating new and exciting results are sought for special video sessions. Videos should be submitted according to the instructions on the website.
TUTORIALS and WORKSHOPS:
Proposals for half-day or full-day tutorials and workshops should be submitted according to the instructions on the conference website. Prospective organizers should include: statement of objectives, intended audience, list of speakers, and list of topics.
EXHIBITS:
There will be an exhibition site at the conference. Information for prospective exhibitors will be available on the web site.
IMPORTANT DATES:
September 15, 2010: Submission of full-length papers, videos and invited sessions
January 7, 2011: Notification of acceptance
February 8, 2011: Final camera-ready papers, posters and videos due
